Post Workout Stack

What are you doing post workout? Protein shake? Pop tarts? Or just a regular meal? While all of those options have the right idea behind them, I’m going to tell you why the post-workout stack is the best option and why it matters.

For starters, what is the post-workout stack? It is made up of two different products: Phormula 1 and Ignition. Ignition is a fast digesting carbohydrate that replenishes our glycogen stores (gas tank). It then shuttles Phormula 1 (fast digesting protein source) into our muscles to begin muscle protein synthesis and get our bodies back into an anabolic (fat burning) state. Our bodies need BOTH protein and carbohydrates post-workout to be able to fully optimize the workout we just completed, as well as improve our recovery period.

So what’s the difference between these products and a whole food meal? Phormula 1 and Ignition are formulated to be very fast digesting, which is exactly what our body needs after a workout. This is why you’ve probably heard of people having pop tarts and other sugary foods post-workout. However, they are still digested much slower than Phormula 1 and Ignition. Plus, pop tarts only have the carbohydrates, and a protein shake only has the protein. The combination of a fast digesting protein and carbohydrate is what is most optimal.

How does this benefit us? By utilizing Phormula 1 and Ignition post workout you will optimize muscle gain and retention and improve your recovery immensely. Both of which will improve your overall progress. Whether you’re trying to lose fat or gain muscle, you can benefit from utilizing the post-workout stack. It allows you to get the most out of your workouts and hold onto the muscle that you have worked hard for. As a female, I take 1 full scoop of Phormula 1 and 1/2 scoop of Ignition immediately after all of my workouts that involve resistance training. I would recommend waiting 45 minutes to an hour before eating your next whole food meal.
