Bacon!

Who doesn’t love bacon?! If you aren’t a bacon lover yet, maybe you just haven’t had bacon that has been cooked just right… I have found a new way to cook bacon that has CHANGED me and heightened my love for bacon.

I used to always make bacon in my electric skillet. I have three problems with this…

1. My house would smell. For like 2 days.

2. It would take what seemed forever to get my bacon cooked to that perfect crisp. I am not about chewy undercooked bacon.

3. I had to clean up a greasy mess afterwards.

My new trick I love… cooking bacon in the oven! I have no clue why I haven’t thought of this before, because hello, this is not NEW.

First Step: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Second Step: I line my jelly roll pan with foil. Remember, easy clean up!

Third Step: Layout bacon on the pan. Do not have the bacon slices overlapping otherwise the bacon won’t cook evenly.

Fourth Step: Place pan in the preheated oven at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes. IMPORTANT: The bacon may have a shorter or longer cooking time depending on the thickness of the bacon.
