Cleaning Tip: Removing Hard Water Stains

If your a cleaning/organization freak like me, then you probably got super excited reading the title of this blog post. And then…. there are those of you who are not excited about cleaning, but your reading this because you feel like society is judging you for your nasty kitchen sink so you figured you better find a way to clean it.

If you haven’t caught onto my theme yet, I like to use things that I already have on hand and for the process to be simple. I don’t want to have 20 different cleaners stored in my laundry room. To do this you only need vinegar (I used the cleaning vinegar), the green scrubbing pads, and paper towels.

This is what my faucet looked liked to begin with (disgusting, I know).

**I wore dishwashing gloves for this so my hands wouldn’t smell like vinegar.

Step 1: Soak a paper towel with vinegar and lay it on the area with hard water stains. Let it set for 5 minutes.

Step 2: After 5 minutes, remove the paper towel. Pour a little vinegar on the scrubbing pad and scrub the water stain.

Step 3: Since my water stain was pretty bad, I repeated steps 1 & 2. Then rinsed the area. After that it was all clean. If your water stain isn’t bad, you may not have to repeat it.

This process also works on shower heads as well!
